Felix had been struggling to find his way here. He didn't know he would make it this far. But the fact that he and his ally, Cora, had made it to the end together, was a miracle. He only had to kill one Tribute, and he was proud of himself. He didn't let the Games turn him into some gruesome murderer. He knew that his mother would be proud of him too, and his father as well, even if they weren't here with him. And if he died today, he would be happy that Cora would go on to become the Victor. She deserved it. "We should do it now," he said it, laughing slightly. They decided that they would go at the same time. He ran towards Cora with his sword already dripping with blood, and charged it right at her chest. If he killed her, he wanted it to be quick. Spare her the pain.

Cora half-heartedly pushed the beads of sweat away from her eyes, leaving behind a steak of blood and dirt. Her gaze wandered over the horrific scene around her, making sure to barely graze over the spots that had once been occupied by one of her fellow tributes. She had made it and this simple realization made Cora want to burst into a hysterical, on the verge of insanity, fit of laughter. No one could have guessed this, but here they were.

The wave of nausea that she had been holding back since the very first day when the first blood was spilt returned as Cora let her mind accept what was about to occur. Everyone knew the rules, only one tribute could leave the arena alive. Not trusting herself to speak without bursting into tears, becoming sick, or worse, Cora merely nodded at Felix's words before squaring her shoulders and preparing herself for the worst.

Cora felt as if she were watching the scene, as if the girl standing there, covered in dirt, blood, and wounds both visible and invisible, was not her. As the light bounced off of Felix's longsword, however, she returned to reality and quickly raised her katana to push the deadly weapon away before it could harm her. The sound of metal clashing, which had become familiar to Cora over the past few days, rang and she quickly jumped back in order to avoid the sharp edge of Felix's weapon as much as possible.

Slightly off balance due to the force of Felix's swing, Cora lunged forward and swung for Felix's neck, hopping that the fight would be as quick and painless as possible no matter the outcome. The once timid girl was now a hardened survivor who just wanted to get home, one way or another.

Just as he suspected, neither of them were to give up. They finally made it here, and this fight was going to happen until the odds were just not in one of their favours, but Felix did not want it to be him that faced death. A tear fell down his face as he quickly ducked as Cora's katana came toward his neck, and it gave him a nick on his cheek, while doing so, he swung for her stomach, hoping that this all would be over. While swinging, he moved is body under hers so his back wouldn't be exposed for an attack.
