| in three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.Luke's nerves were starting to disappear a bit. He was less afraid and more determined to survive the more he got into training. Grabbing a machete off the table, Luke nodded stiffly to the trainer and twirled the weapon, bracing himself. As the dummy came at him, he swung the axe and managed to hit the arm of the wooden figure. Pulling his axe free, he swung again, aiming for the neck, like he had been taught in his first training session. He managed to lop the dummy's head off, and stood waiting for the next one to come at him. His practice here and back home was coming in handy and he sorta hoped people were watching, because he managed to fell three of the wooden mechanical figures like they were nothing. When the trainer said he could take a break, he put his weapon up, headed to the side and picked up a bottle of water, sipping at it as he sat down. He toweled himself off and watched the other tributes train. |

| In a near by station she could see a boy practicing on some moving dummies. Angel wrinkled her nose a bit and picked up a spear. In front of her there was a stationary dummy with arms. She wanted to try the moving ones but , the station was taken. She grumbled a bit under her breathe and twirled the spear a bit in her hands. The metal caught some shine from the light above her head. A trainer looked at her and she looked back. She kind of had a what expression on her face. She didn't like being rudely stared at by other people. Angel rolled her eyes and changed her mind on her weapon. She needed to get some anger out so, she put the spear back. After a sigh she picked up and machete and walked up to the dummy. She glared at it and gave it a good swing to the side. As she made a noise she turned and gave a swift hit to the upper shoulder. The trainer continued to watch her which was only fueling her annoyance. She narrowed her eyes and went around the back of the dummy. From there she gave it a hard hit to the back off the neck. After the hit the dummys head fell forward a bit. |
