CLAIM

Below are the current claims for Tesserae. Be sure to use the correct code and fill it correctly. If you don't want your Tribute to be reaped, be sure to put that too within the code in it's correct place. We aren't checking unless we think you claimed less than you were supposed to or we think your math was done wrong. If so, your post will be edited. Also, remember that playing in the Hunger Games is an honor, and it should not be taken as a punishment OOC. If your character is in the Games, and is the first to die, they died knowing that you loved playing them, so don't think that you're in trouble if you lose! All participants will receive a prize. Also, members that won Hunger Games (member played) cannot win another Hunger Games.

**Remember that a character's family includes his or herself, as one person! If John has a mom, dad, and two siblings, 4 + 1 for himself is 5 Tesserae to claim!

**Remember to post in the code tags, don't remove them! In the parentheses you put the character's age in numbers!

The 25th Fall Hunger Games, or 25th Part B fast approaches. As a part of the process of the Hunger Games, children that are eligible for the reaping, ages 12-18, claim Tesserae, the meager supply of oil and food for the family, in exchange for their name being put in more times into the Reaping.

before the Reaping, members can claim Tesserae for their reapable characters. When you claim Tesserae, you exchange the amount of family members you have times however many years you've been Reapable, added to your mandatory count of your names in the Reaping into the Reaping, for food and supplies for your family.  Even if it isn't alot, but the minimum is however many family members you have. If you don't claim, Tesserae will automatically be added for you. Here's a breakdown of the Tesserae.

One of the most asked questions about the Hunger Games is "Why Does Gale have his name in so many times during the Reaping?" Well, let's break it down.

Gale's age is 18.

Therfore, his mandatory amount of names in the Reaping is 7.

Then he claims Tesserae for his family, himself + 4 is 5. Which he's been doing since the age of 12, suggests the book.

Gale has been eligible for the Reaping for 7 years, and that's how long he's been claiming the Tesserae.

We've also taken the time to make a little breakdown of Tesserae so you don't have to do math, but if you don't see your situation here, please PM a staff member. Below, a 'Family' includes the character eligible for the reaping. The first number in italics is age, the second is the mandatory amount of names in the reaping, the stuff parentheses is the tesserae math, and the stuff after is of course the result of total names in the Reaping.

As you can see, it looks like the number of family members you have, the total amount of tesserae you get is usually the next number's multiplication tables. However, check your math, this is just an assumption. After Tesserae claims are up, the staff members will use a randomizer to choose Tributes, and the actual number of names from Tesserae and regular Reaping will go into it.
