I'm so sorry for leaving you. At this point, when you're reading this, you are 16. You are growing into a young man, that I want you to be. Chass, you are named after one of the greatest men of all time, my father. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there for you like he was for me, but I have some things that I need to take care of. You'll learn when you get older. You and your sister, you two stay together. Never leave each other. Your mother can't do everything on her own. Support her. Love her.
Don't let anyone tell you different. Be yourself. Be different. Stand out. Stay strong. Don't let the Capitol define who you are. Stay healthy. Don't be a scrub. Keep your head up high. When you find someone you love, don't let them go. Hold on to them. If they leave, and come back, it was meant to me. But if not, they never loved you to begin with. Be honorable. Be loyal. Don't lie. Let them call you everything but a liar. You are not. If you become District 4's next Victor, share the wealth. Don't get a big head. If your friend is reaped, volunteer, only if you want to. Build some muscle, make sure you look good. But remember that perfection is the disease of a nation. Don't ever try to be perfect.
